Hasle Joranger is a historian and director of research at the Norwegian Emigrant Museum near Hamar, Norway. His emphasis is on migration and ethnic history from Norway to the United States. He is also the project director of the commemoration activities for the 200th anniversary of the first organized emigration. The presentation will be about the goals for the commemoration, the organization of the commemoration, and many proposed activities for various events across Norway.
