Sons of Norway- The Olympic Experience Program
Mandt Lodge Olympic Hockey Experience Program Sons of Norway welcomes the public to “An Evening with Nate LaPoint and The Olympic Experience” on Wednesday, July 13, at 7:00 PM. The lodge is located at 317 South Page Street, Stoughton, Wisconsin. Nate will share his stories of the Olympics! The Stoughton resident served Team USA Men’s Hockey team as an equipment manager during the 2022 Winter Olympics. He’ll share the experience of being in China (and during a pandemic), some official Olympic memorabilia, and recount his month abroad with the world’s greatest athletes. Nate, a native of Eau Claire, WI, started his college equipment experience while a student at the University of North Dakota from 2008. He has been the equipment manager for the UW-Badgers for the past 13 seasons. In the summers of 2018 and 2019, LaPoint served Team USA at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup including once in Canada and once in Slovakia and Hungary. He also served as an equipment manager for the 2021 U.S. National Junior Team that won gold at the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship in Alberta and for the team again at the 2022 event that was halted. Refreshments will be served! Everyone is welcome and no reservations needed! Please contact Darlene Arneson at arnesonfamily5@gmail.com or 608-873-7209 for more information. Mandt Lodge is handicapped accessible with a lift located on the south side of the building. There is parking on the street, public parking lot behind the Stoughton Senior Center, or in the Livsreise parking lot if their building is closed. We always encourage you to bring donations for the Stoughton Food Pantry! The public is always welcome at Mandt Lodge!
