Scholarly Scoop: The Significance of Sensors in Our Lives

Ozgur Yavuzcetin, Ph.D.,?Dept. of Physics,?University of Wisconsin-Whitewater?This talk will focus on current research in the field of sensors and what we can predict for our future. Sensors are everywhere in our daily lives even if we do not realize them. An average car has 30 to 40 sensors, whereas our smart phones have almost 15 sensors. Most of these sensors have been miniaturized to take place in various applications. Living organisms also have many types of sensors and some of them, have been an inspiration for biosensors. All are welcome to join us for this very informative presentation.
