Relay For Life of Stoughton-McFarland-Stoughton Drive-By Luminaria August 1 The Stoughton/McFarland/Oregon (SMO) Relay For Life event will primarily be virtual this year but we encourage people to drive by our luminaria display on Saturday, August 1, from 8-9 PM. Turn off of East Main Street in Stoughton north onto Church Street and you’ll see the bags and sponsor signs as you drive up towards Stoughton Hospital. Please do not get out of your vehicles. If you bought bags, they will be found in a tub on the front porch of Sons of Norway- Mandt Lodge, 317 South Page Street, from later Saturday night through Wednesday, August 5. Bags not picked up by Thursday morning will be disposed of.

The event will utilize their Facebook page (Relay For Life of Stoughton/McFarland/Oregon) to post a series of videos that day featuring our local RFL teams, survivors who have registered, an educational talk by Dr. Aaron Schwaab of Stoughton Hospital, recognize our Honorary Survivors Sherry Cress and Mark Paltzer, and hold a virtual luminaria ceremony.

The event organizers are asking for people to support the American Cancer Society by making donations on the website (www.RelayForLife.org/SMOWI) giving to the general event or to a team/team member they choose to support. The American Cancer Society continues to provide services, support, coordinating rides, research and other support for cancer patients, survivors and their caregivers.
