History of Polka Music and Foundation Events
Sons of Norway- Mandt Lodge welcomes the public to a History of Polka Music program by Mike Schneider and to partake in their Foundation Month events on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 starting at 6:30 PM. The lodge is located at 317 South Page Street, in Stoughton. Celebrate your Wisconsin heritage with five-time Wisconsin Polka Hall of Fame inductee Mike Schneider! Mike covers the history of the accordion and polka music, plus takes an in-depth look at the three main polka styles during this anything-but-boring presentation. Mandt Lodge will celebrate Sons of Norway Foundation Month with fun for all ages! We will have games downstairs from 6:30-7:00 PM. Upstairs- there will be a free piece of pie and other food available (free will donation) and then other whole pies for sale. We will have a wide variety of baskets/gift items available with three types of bidding and raffle tickets! Proceeds benefit the Sons of Norway Foundation which offers scholarships, grants, financial support for member who experience loss during natural disasters, and other programs. Bring your friends and family for a night of great music, food, prizes and fun! Please contact Darlene Arneson at arnesonfamily5@gmail.com or 608-873-7209 for more information. Mandt Lodge is handicapped accessible with a lift located on the south side of the building. There is parking on the street, public parking lot behind the Stoughton Senior Center, or in the Livsreise parking lot if their building is closed. We always encourage you to bring donations for the Stoughton Food Pantry! The public is always welcome at Mandt Lodge!
