Blind Man on the Prairie
Koshkonong Prairie Program at Sons of Norway Sons of Norway Mandt Lodge presents- A Blind Man on the Prairie with Richard Moen at the Wednesday, May 9, meeting at 7:00 PM. “A Blind Man on the Prairie” tells the story of a Norwegian immigrant who grew up blind on the Koshkonong Prairie in the 1800’s. Henry Hendrickson arrived with his family at age four in 1847 and later found success making and selling corn brooms in several cities. He later went on to sell pianos and organs. Richard Moen shares a sense of kinship in the story of his great-grandmother’s brother, Henry, whose paths cross with some of his own youth experiences. The lodge is located at 317 South Page Street and the public is welcome to attend.
