As a special feature of ART WALK 2024 in Stoughton's Historic Downtown business district on SEPTEMBER 28,2024, Livsreise will be hosting two Hardanger Fiddlers Karen Rebholz and Lucy Jacobus from 10:00 AM until noon. This is not a concert, but an informal musical interlude designed to provide you with a Norwegian interlude before you move on to your next art venue. Karen Rebholz and Lucy Jacobus play bygdedans tunes, country dances that evolved in the isolated valleys of southern Norway, primarily the springar, halling, and gangar. They also play tunes used in traditional Norwegian weddings, and gamaldans, couples dance music from Europe that became popular in Norway in the 1800s.
