The Greatness of Christmas. Matthew 1:18. As we look at the story of Christmas as told by Matthew we will focus on the person of Mary. Matthew tells us that before Mary and Joseph came together, Mary was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. Mary became pregnant by a divine miracle, not through human means. This is the greatness of Christmas and is foundational to our faith in Jesus.
