“The Artistic Life of Ethel Kvalheim”

For the first time and with generosity and cooperation from Keith and Fanny Kvalheim we are able to present a sample of the many pieces that Stoughton artist, Ethel Kvalheim created over her lifetime. Her artistic life, however, was more than rosemaling. She began sketching as a small girl on the family farm near Utica and was a watercolor painter for many years. This special exhibit contains many rosemaled pieces never seen outside of her family, watercolor and oil paintings and a large kubbestol. She even took a turn at painting on porcelain china!
