The Rae Ladd Scholarship is awarded by the Stoughton Chamber of Commerce. to graduating seniors who have demonstrated a commitment to improving the community by their volunteer work during their time in high school.
Rae Ladd lived a life of volunteerism. She was a lifelong resident of Stoughton until her death in 2015. Her volunteer work was influential in many places, including the Stoughton Hospital Auxiliary, The Stoughton American Legion Auxiliary and The Order of the Eastern Star. Rae was awarded the City of Stoughton’s Volunteer of the Year Award in 2008.
In 2010, the Stoughton Chamber of Commerce recognized the 20+ years that Rae volunteered in the chamber office by starting the Rae Ladd Scholarship. The chamber is proud to encourage graduating seniors to make volunteering a priority in their lives, like Rae did. Proceeds of the Stoughton Wine Walk go towards the Rae Ladd scholarship.
