Join Us for Stoughton's Norse Afternoon of Fun on February 9, 2014
If you're getting cabin fever...spend an afternoon with the dancers....

49th Annual Norse Afternoon of Fun
February 9th, 2014
1:30pm

This year is the 49th annual Norse Afternoon of Fun, being held on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the Stoughton High School, 600 Lincoln Ave., Stoughton, WI.  This annual event is known to be the Norwegian's answer to "Cabin Fever".  The Stoughton Norwegian dancers with their combination of colorful Norwegian costumes, rousing music, and xuberant ethnic folk dancing produces the necessary elements to relive the "winter-time blues".

Members of the audience are encouraged to wear their national costumes making this truly an international event.

This lively group of dancers present a program which includes humorous dances, gymnastics and audience participation dances. Local fourth graders dressed in Norwegian costumes will represent the three elementary schools in Stoughton and will perform several dances as well as past Norwegian Dancer alumni.  The program appeals to all ages and is a real family event.

A bake sale featuring Norwegian pastries is also part of the afternoon activities as well as the announcement of the Community Appreciation Award and 2014 Syttende Mai Royalty.  The admission for adults is $5.00 in advance or $6.00 at the door.  Admission for children under 14 is $1.00. Admission and raffle tickets can be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce, Cheeser's, McGlynn Pharmacy, Koffee Kup, Saving Thyme, Nordic Nook, Stoughton Floral, Stoughton Garden Center, All Through the House, Main Street Flowers, Stoughton Lumber or Radio Shack.

Raffle tickets are available ($2 each)
