March 28-Madlen Breckbill, viola: Micah Behr, piano-Madlen is a Stoughton native and began performing for the Music Appreciation Series along with her brother and sister in the early days of our Series. I think the first time they played was when they were Middle School age. If you recall, those performances were really wonderful and were a portent of great musical success. And indeed it came to be. Madlen received her Degree in Performance from the UW Madison(she studied with the renowned teacher, David Perry). She continued her studies at the Toronto Royal Conservatory of Music and then spent the next four years in Germany where she studied, and played professionally with various orchestras and chamber ensembles. She played in various countries in Europe and I think she did a concert tour with a string quartet to Japan. (I'll check that out and let you know on the 28th) She is back in the area now performing professionally. She has organized and presented The Stoughton Chamber Music Series at the Opera House during early August the last three years. Keep your eyes open for the Fourth Annual Stoughton Chamber Music Festival at the Opera House this coming October. Micah is an accomplished pianist and composer and will join her in the presentation. The program is varied and will actually include an original composition by Micah.MUSIC APPRECIATION – SPRING 2022Date and Time
